I made this head-spin beanie last week Friday. I was dead tired
but I managed to pull it off. I got the pattern from a crochet magazine gotten
at Barnes & Nobles. The pattern was in single crochet, which takes too long, and the head band was
WAY too long. So I made some tweaks to it and made it my own.
This is what the top of my beanie looked like.
The trick to this hat is crocheting a headband in rows that fits
perfectly around your noggin, then crocheting along the edge of the headband
perfectly around your noggin, then crocheting along the edge of the headband
so basically it looks hollow. Then weaving yarn or a long ribbon through
the last row of stitches along the top, and pulling supper hard so it shrivels up.
